|The teams make use of Concordia's
beautiful 4-field Baseball Complex (built in 1999), Lions field or
Southside Park. In addition to its softball diamond, Southside Park
offers playgrounds, shelter houses, croquet, basketball court, 2
sand volleyball courts, horseshoes and a lighted walking trail.
Concordia's other park,
Central Park, has several memorials, including a doughboy monument
from 1923, a Missouri Pacific caboose, antique
clockworks in the clock tower, a bushwhacker memorial, the Kathryn
Kuhlman memorial and a veterans' memorial walkway. Concordia's Central
Park is also home to the famous Heidelberg Gardens every September
during the annual Fall Festival. This yearly event is highly
anticipated and offers a lot of good, old-fashioned fun for all ages.
With a street fair carnival, queen contest, country exhibits, cattle
show and several parades, there is something for everybody.
